PhotoHunt: Wrinkled

I took this shot during the Global Day of Action for Tibet on the Dam square in Amsterdam. Besides this being one of the few pictures that corresponded with the theme, I also feel quite strong about the Tibetan issue. If you haven’t already, check out the BBC documentary “Undercover in Tibet” (for free via the link).

While I completely agree that Chinas invasion of Tibet I always wonder why people never discuss the lamocracy that existed there before the invasion? It was not the shangrala that the western world has created it too be.

A picture some people with their backs turned holding Tibetan flags is some grand political gesture to you all? What am I missing?

Also, why free Tibet and not Free China? Am I missing something about Chinese political oppression, that it only applies in Tibet?
